Here at Mystic Scribe Studios, we have a passion for giving new visionaries and creators a voice, support, and a platform to do what they love most. Tell great stories. That's what Firebreak is all about. We're building a festival that celebrates emerging, independent, and student filmmakers and the wonderfully bold, strange, imaginative, frightening, and unexpected stories they have to tell across Fear, Fantasy, Future, and Folklore.
There are two things we hope to accomplish with Firebreak.
First, we want to give creators a stage. A place where their work can be seen, their voices can be heard, and they can connect with other people who understand the courage and work it takes to bring a story to life.
Second, we want to create a place for audiences who love great stories to discover filmmakers, actors, writers, and other creators they may not know yet. We want people to come for the films, stay for the conversations, meet someone new, and perhaps discover a storyteller whose work they'll continue following long after the festival is over.
As an inaugural Firebreak partner, you're helping us build that stage from the ground up. Your participation helps us create opportunities for independent storytellers while building a new community around the people who make stories and the people who love them. We don't take that support lightly.
