About Us

Mystic Scribe Studios is an independent production company built for stories outside the ordinary. Founded by writer, producer, and director Dr. AY Heath, the studio develops and produces character-driven work across horror, science fiction, fantasy, paranormal storytelling, and the strange spaces where those genres collide.

The studio's growing body of work includes Project Firebreak, an ambitious collection of independently produced short films created during an intensive production in Montana. The Firebreak slate includes Chaos Switch, Echoes of the Forgotten, Hitchhiker of Highway 87, Lost Mail, Refresh, A Veteran's Christmas, and Witness Security, along with a documentary chronicling the experience of bringing the project to life.

Mystic Scribe Studios is also developing an expanding slate of original film and television projects. Current projects include Pioneers, a science-fiction television series, alongside upcoming short films Sounds, Repel, The Wish, and The Bridge. The studio continues to develop additional original properties while creating opportunities for emerging filmmakers and collaborators to bring new stories from concept to screen.

Beyond traditional film and television development, Mystic Scribe Studios is building a broader home for storytelling. Through the Mystic Scribe Podcast, original YouTube programming, filmmaker conversations, behind-the-scenes content, and developing initiatives such as the Firebreak Fear Festival, the studio is exploring new ways to connect storytellers, audiences, and the worlds they create.

Whether the journey leads into a haunted house, across an unknown galaxy, through an ancient legend, or somewhere we haven't imagined yet, the goal remains the same: create compelling characters, unforgettable worlds, and stories worth telling.
